Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

I tested uploading the swf file with this change. Previously, the file changed its extension, now the extension does not change and remains equal to swf.

Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

Is there any way this could be modified to accept multiple files per upload?
Also, how can I just show the users uploads in their profile, on the posting page only show the uploads for the post they are creating?

Thank you for your quick reply!
I added the modifications from the link you supplied and it works very well.
My posting page is much better now.

Would you consider adding multiple file upload in the future?

I don't promise anything anytime soon, I still have other things to do. There will be free time - I will try.

Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

Hey I seem to have a problem with uploading files.
I only get a broken picture in the square box when trying to upload a file.

Do I need to change some kind of PHP setting or something?

Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

I had it on PHP 7 now running it with PHP8, do I need to reinstall anything... I don't know where to even begin to fix this issue...

Nope did not solve the issue, is there a help file - maybe I need to turn something on, on the server? smile

Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

The upload also seems to remember all the broken files - so making a new reply - gives me the list of the broken images which might or might not be uploaded, they don't work that is for sure.

Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

I don't get it, I have a file in forum/img/close.gif and it works...
Then I have copied it up and out the branch.... forum/img/members/close.gif
And then I just get that same error, No input file specified.

Have no idea what is wrong... do I need to something specific to the folders or some kind of server issue?

With the problem "No input file specified." I have not come across.
Try to remove the img/members/.htaccess file.
Even if it helps, contact your hoster's support service anyway. This file is necessary for protection, since the directory of the uploaded files is visible from the outside.

Thanks I will look into the .htaccess file - I don't really know what these files is - but apparently they are here and there and used. Apparently it is used for some thing, but overall I really don't know what it is. Something with access and server settings  I guess. I will enter and see what is in the file and try to removed it and see if that makes it possible to reach my files.

You have any place I can see the Image plugin working on some forum so I know how it should work out of the box? smile

Thanks so much Visman!

I have nearly finally after many days of toying around moved my files from one host to another. Then there is checking if everything works and all.

Dearly regards - Darkijah

Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

@Visman

I just tried to install the forum on the other host I still have for a little over a month...
No problems at all with the plugin as far as I can see sad

It seems to work. I'm even using the database on my other host... So it is the same place for the Database.

http://jesusisgodalmighty.life/forum/vi … p?pid=2#p2

Here is an example of it working, sigh, just one problem after another with these hosting things, sadly.

Okay so far so good I guess, I still need to try to delete the .htaccess file on the host it does not work and see if it does anything.

Thanks

Re: [MOD] Upload Mod - 3.0.3

@Visman What could happen if I don't have the file activated? smile
Just seem to be the easy solution here to deactivate the file, at least for now - as I don't know what is the issue at all.

If you do not know how to set up your server, you should contact your hoster's support.

I don't even know how to make a website tongue By the way, I found a Bug? The JPG upload account image broke when activating PHP 8, downgraded to PHP 7.4 and it made it work again.

Still looking into the other issue, my brain is just not up to much at the moment. Been running since morning doing things.

Different php versions have different settings in the php.ini file.

No need to guess on the coffee grounds.
Your server has an error log errors.log. You can check it out.
Your browser has a console in development tools. It displays various information, including errors and warnings. You can look there too.
