Awareness of cookies
I noticed that fluxbb uses cookies (On my own site) im not a geek at this area so just want to ask if the cookie is just for remembering to be logged in?
Reason is that in Denmark or maby also EU websites that uses cookies should show a warning for visitors that a site uses cookies.. i dont know these rules and or how they sound, but wonder if FluxBB will have such an pop up / banner that people need to click before moving on? (Accapt or not)

Re: Awareness of cookies
I am also not a legal expert, so take this with a grain of salt, please...
This is an EU law.
As far as I know, the banner is only needed for cookies that are used for non-essential features. Since we need it for the software to function (authentication) and it has no other purpose, it should be fine. But maybe other people have more experience with these things...?

Re: Awareness of cookies
I originally put this on my site when I first started out, but was told that as Franz has already said - it's for authentication so its fine. I've also been told that it's no longer a law, but as far as I'm aware it still is.
If it still is, and is only mandatory for non-essential parts of the site, then I would recommend not adding one - it's just irritating to users, or at least from what I've seen - and it certainly irritates me.
Pesky EU laws, much more trouble than they're worth ....

Re: Awareness of cookies
I think your deputies, like ours, need to be dispersed, and the money allocated for their maintenance should be spent on something useful.
My modification of FluxBB 1.5.11 - rev.80, Parserus, UserAgentAnalyzer
I speak only Russian
