Re: [Mod] Another Private Messaging / Topic System - 3.0.8

What is your SGBD? I never saw such an error. Apparently it would happen with PostgreSQL or older versions.

Re: [Mod] Another Private Messaging / Topic System - 3.0.8

I am not sure. I am on a shared host and none of the database stuff has been upgraded in probably 10 years.

I have installed fluxbb 4 times over the last few days to test the different kinds of databases and learn my way around it. At this point I do not remember which one I was testing when I got the error. I finally got my act together and have a clean copy with this and a few other mods that I can switch back and forth with myslq and sqlite just by changing the config files.

On that copy they both work perfectly and I am happy.(I am still in testing phase, no pesky users to worry about yet smile )

Re: [Mod] Another Private Messaging / Topic System - 3.0.8

I really need this mod on my forum. Tried install on 1.5.10, got the following error msg:

The file profile.php can not be successfully modified. This file may have been modified from the original file. String number 2 was not found ($search_file)

Looking back at the mods I've successfully installed only two involve changes to profile.php (honeypot and social profile links).

Does anyone have this mod installed on 1.5.10? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thx

ps - I am willing to compensate someone for their time if it results in a fix.

It's working with 1.5.10 no issues for me.. Using v3.0.9 of the PM mod.

The reason I have come to this topic though is I need some support with the style of the links it adds.

In the header, topic view and in the PM system itself all the "PM" links are wrapped in acronym tags, unlike the other header links and it looks out of place as it leaves a line under the word "PM":

<li id="navprofile"><a href="profile.php?id=2">Profile</a></li>
<li id="navpm"><a href="pms_inbox.php"><acronym title="Private Message">PM</acronym></a></li>
<li id="navadmin"><a href="admin_index.php">Administration</a></li>

I really want to remove all instances of the acronym tags from the mod and my board:

<acronym title="Private Message">PM</acronym>

But I can't find it anywhere in the edited files??? It's driving me mad... header_add2.php is called from header.php but all I see in that file is:

$links[] = '<li id="navpm"'.((PUN_ACTIVE_PAGE == 'pm') ? ' class="isactive"' : '').'><a href="pms_inbox.php">'.$lang_pms['PM'].'</a></li>';

Where are these acronym tags hiding?? I'm so confused.

This is why I want them gone:

Can anybody please help me??

I am not familiar with this mod, so this is just an educated guess: It might be coming from the language files in the lang/English folder.

Thank you so much! This was driving me crazy.

I only have a few days experience with this script.

Hello,

With PHP 7.0.2 there is an error :

PHP Warning:  count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in \pms_inbox.php on line 282

How can we correct this please ?

Re: [Mod] Another Private Messaging / Topic System - 3.0.8

Hello,

I could some help if some is available. I am the administrator of my forum and I've installed this MOD; "another-private-messaging-system_v3.0.9" and I get the following message below. The bold items seem to be the problem, because the other items are green, except for the BOLD which is orange.

I've tried sending a PM and I get this message; "You do not have permission to access this page."

The configuration file of mod APMS indicates Not installed

Re: [Mod] Another Private Messaging / Topic System - 3.0.8

Hi,

Initially, APMS could only be installed because all modifications, including header.php, were possible.
It would appear that between the time you installed APMS and now, you have made changes in the header.php file so that the APMS installation check no longer sees the changed lines as they should be.
