Yes, both style files are found @ style/style.css (where style.css is the name of the file). You could change some of the info from the cobalt to the victory, but it would be very tedious indeed.

Tedium seems to be the order of the day, but I suppose I find some small joy in it.

Who were you talking to there?

In the initial post a honeypot was mentioned for the live example page. I looked at VSARB and that made some sense but didn't solve the problem I had with bot registration. I then looked at the Honeypot + StopForumSpam mod and was thoroughly confused by the code. I dumped my members, all bots, and closed registration until i could find a solution. I installed Akismet to manage spam, but am very interested in the honeypot registration scheme that Reines has mentioned in a couple of posts. It uses CSS to hide the default registration fields from 'real' users, providing them with a usable alternative, while leading bots down the garden path.

So I guess I was speaking to orkneywd and anyone who might offer some insight into how to implement this type of code.

Re: Victory - Responsive FluxBB Skin (Based on Air) [v1.0.1]

Basically, all you need to do is create a hidden HTML input on the registration form that when submitted, will exit() the script (or for better performance, use message())

I used the honeypot mod, maybe it's of some use to you. The one of two other things I have is VSABR, and I use questions that only people actually interested in what my site has to offer can pass them. For example,

How much gold does a 'Berserker' cost in Stronghold 2?

Yes people could look it up - but you'd know that they're people then and not automated bots. The third and final thing that I have in place is captcha. And I've had one spammer register in over a year.(Yes, plenty of bots have tried - or appear to have been brute-forcing the registration form - but have always failed.)

Hope that helps smile

Hi, new here. Would have been nice if I could see a demo ( demo link not working) or a screen shot of this theme.

This is the default style:

Only a few touches to make it less "dull":
urtit_new_1.jpg

On a cellphone it would look as this:

Hum hum hum. I'd suggest to hide the "contributions: " text, and make each <a> tag a display: inline-block

Re: Victory - Responsive FluxBB Skin (Based on Air) [v1.0.1]

I'd say it's because it's nested inside a <li> and a <span>, so you've got to make them behave like blocks too.

I'd say to play a little with your browser's developer tools, until you find the solution smile

Re: Victory - Responsive FluxBB Skin (Based on Air) [v1.0.1]

I want to say THANKS for this theme, I've waited a long time to find something that looks good on mobile phones. Quick question... can I hide the left column in viewtopic.php which displays the square icon indicating if you have viewed that topic or not?

I'm in between assignments in course work...but remember, HTML/CSS *should* be outside any program/php software of any kind so yes, it should be quite easy to do. If anything, you can do a "visibility:hidden;" or "display:none;"

Sorry for the incomplete answer but I really do need to get back to the coursework. hmm

@orkneywd

Thanx a lot for that great theme!!

NOTE: This skin ONLY works on FluxBB 1.5.1 and above. It will not work on 1.5.0 or below.

For some reasons I'm running FluxBB 1.4.13 yet and want to use this responsive theme but Earth based.

And what should I say - I got it running. Some small modifications needed but not a real big thing.

I know it's an old topic and so I wouldn't explain it yet.

But feel free to ask if you want to do the same wink.
