Re: FluxBB 1.5.9 released
Yes it is not exploit but it's really ugly and highly unprofessional.
There are many problems with FluxBB's code, and Franz openly admits this fact. Part of this is the fact it's a fork from PunBB. And for backwards compatibility this is why some of the things are present like that. I'm not justifying this fact, simply stating why.
That was not phrased very nice at all.

Re: FluxBB 1.5.9 released
Thank you for your post artoodetoo. All feedback is appreciated and whilst we cannot cater to every user's request or need, we will endeavour to do our best.
FluxBB is an ongoing and open-source project as you are well aware. Franz and the other developers do their best to ensure the core is up to scratch and they do dedicate a lot of their spare time to performing bug fixes and other development duties. I understand what you are trying to say but instead of coming across sternly, perhaps offer avenues in which we can take to better FluxBB for you.
Something else I'd like to ask you purely out of curiosity. What exactly has not made you a fan of FluxBB any more?

Re: FluxBB 1.5.9 released
Thank you, Gary, for your inspiring speech. And of course, many thanks to FluxBB contributors.
But I have to be on the same mind. While v1.x is stuck on the past, the v2.x is dropped. What is "merging" if not the dropping?
I'm looking into Roadmap and cannot recognize any improvement. Please, forget PHP4 and no-mbstring-workaround, separate code and output, use DB wrapper with placeholders, manage errors and exceptions.
At least plan it, I beg you.
Happy New 2016 Year!
I'm not a fan of FluxBB way anymore.

Re: FluxBB 1.5.9 released
Is there a breakdown for manual replacement, or at least file names for the two security fixes in this update?
