Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

Hi,
i would like to ask one question:

Is it possible (and possibly how) to just have the toolbar smiles hide when i want to post a reply, or quick reply; i mean, i want that the deafult bejaviour is that the smiles toolbar is hidden by default and only showed by pressing the relative unhide button, is it possible? I inserted lots of smiles but i would like that the user have to unhide the smiles by clicking the button... i have the last version

thanks in advance

Yes, it's possible. You have to go to the stylesheet you are using for the Toolbar (file: /plugins/ezbbc/style/name_of_the_style/ezbbc.css), find the following propertie :

#ezbbctoolbar {
        display: block;
        position: relative;
}

and replace it by :

#ezbbctoolbar {
        display: none;
        position: relative;
}

Not tested wink

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

hi,
thanks for the answear. Bu i already tried that with no success! I'm using the text style with ezbbc emotic (which i extended a lot with many more emoticon). I changed the section Common SStyles, no success.
that's the code:

/* ********************* */
/* Default buttons style */
/* ********************* */

/* Toolbar style */
/* ************* */

/* Common styles */
#ezbbctoolbar {
        display: inline;
        position: relative;
}

#ezbbctoolbar a {
        display: inline-block;

	-webkit-border-radius: 5px;

	-o-border-radius: 5px;
}

#ezbbc_help code {
        color: #FFF;
	background: #C4C2C2;
}

Now i dont' konw what really i have to do. I tried to modify parser.php and other files; especially ezbbc_edit.php with no luck: in the section of the smilies i put 0 (so no draw of the emoticon at all), than put the same code on the if block of the 'on click section'.. no luck. Any more suggestion? Thanks anyway for the kindness wink

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

Sorry for that wrong answer, I was too quick here wink
Try to add into the css file these lines:

#ezbbcsmiliesbar {
display: none;
}

It should work wink

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

Sorry again, I was looking into the next version of EZBBC Toolbar (1.5.2) code I'm developping on my computer...
The id of the smiliesbar in your version is "ezbbc_s", so you should add this line into the css file:

#ezbbc_s {
display: none;
}

I hope this is it hmm

Are you sure?
It should work! Try to refresh the page.
Put the code at the end of the css file if it still doesnt work.

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

i tried, in my modded ezbbc and in your clean installtion (also deleted the cache files). Everytime it shows up the emoticons. It seems that there is no change with or without the addition!

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

But instead of look in the css, is it possible to modify the ezbbc_head:

 <?php if ($pun_config['o_smilies'] == '1'): ?>
        // Smileys
        toolbar += '<span id="ezbbc_s">';
        toolbar += '<img class="smiley" src="<?php echo $smilies_path ?>smile.png" title=":)" alt=":)" onclick="insertTag(\':)\',\'\',\'smiley\'); return false;" />';
...

to shows the emoticon only when the button (show emoticon) is pressed? I tried to move the code, and effectively there is no emoticon; but when i press the show/hide emoticon button the emoticons don't appears

i'm triyng something like that: (dirty hack very dirty, indeed dirtiest!):

start with o_smilies=0, so no draw emoticons in the page.
Then, when process the button (forced to drawn even if O_smilies is 0) and the onclick event it draw the emoticon. Since now no success

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

Try this in ezbbc_head.php file:

toolbar += '<span id="ezbbc_s" style="display: none">';

Find other lines where you find the ezbbc_s id and do the same.

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

I have got a feedback about an issue on the new FluxBB 1.5.1 version. No time to release a new ezbbc Toolbar version but it is easy to fix. Here's the process :

* Edit /plugins/AP_EZBBC_Toolbar.php file
* Find these lines (944-945):

 $lang_folder = ($lang_folder == $ezbbc_lang_folder) ? '<strong>'.$lang_folder.'</strong>' : $lang_folder;
 echo '<img src="'.$lang_flag_path.'" alt="'.$lang_folder.' flag" /> '.$lang_folder.' ';

* Replace these lines by these:

$alt_lang = $lang_folder;
$lang_folder = ($lang_folder == $ezbbc_lang_folder) ? '<strong>'.$lang_folder.'</strong>' : $lang_folder;
 echo '<img src="'.$lang_flag_path.'" alt="'.$alt_lang.' flag" /> '.$lang_folder.' ';

I didn't test this patch in production but on localhost it worked.
Any feedback welcome wink

Thanks smile

Re: [MOD] EZBBC Toolbar

In 1.5.1 I also had to change

(<<?php echo ($max_

to:

(<?php echo 'Less than '.($max_

in a couple of places (1 for images and 1 for docs).  Does this sound ok?

Thank you!

I have used another sollution. Resource greedy, but simple. Line 924: strip_tags() in image' alt prorety

echo '<img src="'.$lang_flag_path.'" alt="'.strip_tags($lang_folder).' flag" /> '.$lang_folder.' ';

Your right, this could also be a solution, but I guess using a test before inserting the string will probably be (slightly) faster to do for the server than asking to strip tags. Not sure about that...

Yes, the <iframe> tag isn't valid xhtml anymore (due to accessibility issues) but has been revalidated for html5. We should use the <object> solution then to embed the videos,...
No time to fix that now but see in the \plugins\ezbbc\ezbbc_video_replace.php file to replace the iframe tags by the object snippet (look at the link I gave a few words before)

Thanks for the allowfullscreen tip wink
I installed Private messages 3.0.3 on my local install and the Toolbar worked without changing anything...
I will soon release the 1.5.2 version, maybe I fixed this issue for a while but didn't release it.
