FluxBB 1.4-beta2 released

Today we have released FluxBB 1.4 Beta2, hopefully the final release before 1.4 comes out of beta. There is a hdiff and patch showing changes from 1.4-beta1 to 1.4-beta2.

Some of the changes include:

Bug fixes
Updated extern.php from the 1.3 branch
Updated parser from the 1.3 branch

Please post any bugs found in the Bug reports (1.4) board, and clearly state that you are using beta2.

Download the latest development release.

Can we get the SVN revision number for this version, because i like to update it from SVN for automatically merged with my mods.

Hey there everyone, I'm new to the FluxBB community however I have used PunBB before (which is practically the same at the moment).

Just wanted to ask whether using FluxBB 1.4-beta2 is suitable to be used for an active community, or should I really be using FluxBB 1.2.22?

1.2, because 1.4 is still beta.

You can easily upgrade to 1.4 when it is stable.

And very true indeed. I'll just use the current stable release and upgrade accordingly I guess.

I've been using 1.4b2 and 1.4b on a small forum (40 members) for the last couple of months. No one has reported any issues and I haven't seen any as yet...

I keep it up to date through Trak.

I'd say go for it.

There are a couple of security holes in 1.4-beta2, so if anyone is using it, please make sure they keep it up-to-date from SVN/Trac...

That's what I was thinking also... So long as I keep it up-to-date I should be fine. How much longer until the stable release is launched Reines (if you have an idea yet)?

Fair enough, thanks guys! I'll download the beta version now. My community isn't big at all, however there will be quite a few registrations within the next week or so so I just wanted to be ready for the onslaught.
