Making a post

I was in the test section with a colleague and noticed that we are being told to wait "1800 seconds" before making another post.  Is this normal?

so is this just for this site or would the same thing happened if I were to use Flux with my group?  Can this be changed by the administrator (me) in my own forum if I decided to use it?

The administrator can configure separate intervals for each group.

OK, so for any new user on the platform, they will be restricted until after 5 posts.  After the 5 posts, does this restriction go away permanently?

No, the board admin can configure different restrictions / permissions individually for their board. In this case, these are non-standard settings.
