Notify on Replies by default

Hi all,

is there a way to set the option 'Email Notification for replies on topics that I have created' by default to Yes for all users?

Greetings

Re: Notify on Replies by default

Welcome!

In your database, change the default value for the "auto_notify" column in the "users" table from "0" to "1". That should do the trick for all users who will sign up from that moment on.

Re: Notify on Replies by default

Dear Franz,

thanks for your reply. I was thinking more about a default option for newly created users.

Greetings

I don't think that's on the horizon, to be honest.

If you just want to make this change for your own forum, the simple database change should be enough. Unless you want to change it regularly, of course. wink

Yes, but as far as I have seen, this change has to be applied to every individual user. Or is there a global default that can be set?

Re: Notify on Replies by default

If you change the default value for the database column I mentioned in post #2, the change will apply to all users registering after that change.
