[MOD] Real Register Captcha

Hi there,

I wanted a good protection against spambots for this forum. The only option I had was the "Very Simple Anti Bot Registration (VSABR)". This is OK, but a well scripted application can bypass this check.
Searching the internet for a few hours, I couldn't find anything useful. I went looking for a good alternative, examined the fluxBB source code and wrote a mod on my own.

You can find it over here: http://fluxbb.org/resources/mods/real-register-captcha

It's very easy to implement, so have fun with it!

Re: [MOD] Real Register Captcha

1. Curve readme.txt
2. What in the folder of mod do not used files?

Re: [MOD] Real Register Captcha

I don't seem to understand your questions.
Every file in the mod is used.
Copy the files/securimage folder to the plugins/ folder on your server and apply the mod using readme.txt

Re: [MOD] Real Register Captcha

1. In readme.txt it isn't specified where to copy files and what files to edit!
2. The folder with modification contains files which aren't necessary for modification work! They there the superfluous.

The file that needs to be edited is listen on line nr 14. Thought that's enough since there's only one affected file.
Check line 103-105 in readme.txt;
#---------[ 9. After, ADD ]-------------------------------------------------
#
Copy files from files/Securimage to the plugins folder of your forum.

I.e. files are copied in /plugins, but not in /plugins/securimage.

The Securimage folder is located in the folder 'files' within the mod. This is how it should be done.
When you copy the securimage folder to plugins/ in your forum, you get plugins/securimage/.
I think this is very clear.

On line 14 of the readme.txt you see this:
##   Affected files:  register.php

I can't see how this can't be clear right now, it's the most simple part when installing this mod.
I really won't make a tutorial on how to copy a directory to another directory.

As told before, this is an implementation of another piece of software.
I've made the installation and documented everything in the mod. If there are superfluous files, tell the guys from https://www.phpcaptcha.org/

Re: [MOD] Real Register Captcha

Visman is indeed correct. It isn't particularly clear. And it does contain a lot of unused files - and doesn't this mod already exist? I have a captcha that's exactly the same on my registration page.
