Can't change users' passwords

I'm an Admin, and yet whenever I go to change another user's password, it comes up with "Wrong old password". This is a pretty big bug, since there was no way to transfer the passwords from my old host, so I'll be relying on people emailing me and me resetting their password. But obviously I can't reset their password. It doesn't even come up with a place for me to enter the old password (not that it's supposed to since I'm an Admin).

I've got around it by changing my password to what they want theirs changed to, going into the database, copying the hashed password from mine and entering it in theirs. This is extremely inconvenient though since there's a lot of users, and I don't really want to have to do that for every single user.

You don't have to bump a topic from today (that already stay on top). By the way: update to FluxBB 1.4?

Re: Can't change users' passwords

I mainly bumped so it'd show there's new posts.

And I'm transferring from PunBB-Hosting which used 1.2, so my plan was to switch from PunBB-Hosting to 1.2 and then from there switch to 1.4.

Not a good reason, be patient wink

Then I suggest you do that - everything will become much easier suddenly, trust me. smile

Re: Can't change users' passwords

I've successfully upgraded to 1.4 (hopefully anyway, no bugs so far tongue), so I guess this can be moved to the 1.4 section now, but I'm still having the problem where I, as an Admin, can't change users' passwords.

Does anyone else have this same problem or know how to fix it?

Re: Can't change users' passwords

Actually, I've just realise something - am I actually meant to be able to change them without knowing their old password? I know you're supposed to with PunBB-Hosting, but that's heavily modified from the original FluxBB. So is this actually normal?

Re: Can't change users' passwords

You can change a user's password without knowing their old one in v1.4.x - not sure what's the problem?

Re: Can't change users' passwords

I'm guessing you're not going to tell me how to fix it without asking for something stupid in return though, like you normally do.
