Re: FluxBB by Visman

Just updated to your latest version Visman, hadn't updated since 1.4.7 as I was waiting on Flux v2. Currently adding and removing all the bits and bobs I like/don't like but for some reason I cannot see the bbcode tool bar on the post/quick post/edit text area?

Having compared the old viewtopic.php to the new one, it seems like the line

is absent from the new one? Am I missing something?

Slightly off-topic, the 'most users ever online' has also reset for some reason, but I'm not too worried about that as I'll just manually update the db when I get round to it.

Re: FluxBB by Visman

Functions of creation of the bb-code panel, citing and prompt reply moved to the file post.js.

For an example, open page - with on and off js.

Thanks for the reply.

I still can't get it to show at all though? I have tried several times, even without modifying anything it doesn't show from your 1.5.x source files?

Re: FluxBB by Visman

- - it is visible the bb-code panel?
If isn't present, update page, clear browser cache.
If all the same it is not visible, look at js run errors in browser.

P.S. Probably I don't understand you, as I use the computer translator sad

Re: FluxBB by Visman

No your understanding is good!

It's probably a mistake on my part, my knowledge of PHP is poor, I just reverse engineer it all to make it work for me.

Is the toolbar drawn together in viewtopic.php? It has worked fine in the past, but since updating to 1.5 it seems to have vanished.

Is this where it should be? Just before textarea?

<?php

	echo "\t\t\t\t\t\t".''.$lang_common['Message'].' '.$lang_common['Required'].'
';
}
else
	echo "\t\t\t\t\t\t".'';

?>

 <textarea name="req_message" rows="7" cols="75" tabindex="<?php echo $cur_index++ ?>">

<?php echo $lang_common['BBCode'] ?> <?php echo ($pun_config['p_message_bbcode'] == '1') ? $lang_common['on'] : $lang_common['off']; ?>

<?php echo $lang_common['url tag'] ?> <?php echo ($pun_config['p_message_bbcode'] == '1' && $pun_user['g_post_links'] == '1') ? $lang_common['on'] : $lang_common['off']; ?>

<?php echo $lang_common['img tag'] ?> <?php echo ($pun_config['p_message_bbcode'] == '1' && $pun_config['p_message_img_tag'] == '1') ? $lang_common['on'] : $lang_common['off']; ?>

<?php echo $lang_common['Smilies'] ?> <?php echo ($pun_config['o_smilies'] == '1') ? $lang_common['on'] : $lang_common['off']; ?>

 </fieldset>

<input type="hidden" name="cr" value="<?php echo random_for_crypto() ?>" />

<input type="submit" name="submit" tabindex="<?php echo $cur_index++ ?>" value="<?php echo $lang_common['Submit'] ?>" accesskey="s" /> <input type="submit" name="preview" value="<?php echo $lang_topic['Preview'] ?>" tabindex="<?php echo $cur_index++ ?>" accesskey="p" />

Re: FluxBB by Visman

Done a completely fresh, unmodified version, straight from download. No toolbar:
toolbarnoworky.PNG

Tried it on 2 different laptops (one Ubuntu, one MS) and phone (Android).

The bb-code panel exists in the file viewtopic.php in version 1.5.

Page code before execution function ForumBBSet() in the file post.js.

Function ForumBBSet() creates an element
...

It is possible to see complete html code of this page? And log errors of js on it?

Re: FluxBB by Visman

I was being stupid; my host doesn't support Java. I can't believe it, I thought that was just standard?

Currently looking for a new host...

Re: FluxBB by Visman

Unfortunately I've only got access to a company computer at the moment and cannot access the Java console.

I'm a bit baffled to be honest, if I don't need server-side Java, what is the point of it? What does it do that doesn't already take place?

Re: FluxBB by Visman

Strangely I accidentally pressed my phone screen while a page was loading and hit a button on the toolbar. When I moved the screen the toolbar appeared. As soon as I tried again it was gone and I couldn't bring it back. Very odd.

Download chrome, hold down ctrl+shift+J

refresh page, go to console page, report back here with the js errors,

Have a nice day!

Re: FluxBB by Visman

I'm feeling rather stupid, I use the same console in Chrome to look at source code, didn't realise it had a JS console too!

Toolbar re-appeared today, now I definitely cleared the cache previously but this time it worked and it is now back.

That said, using the method above produced the following JS error for viewtopic.php:

Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'wsLiker' viewtopic.php:9

On a related note, I've installed this like mod:
http://fluxbb.org/resources/mods/like-mod/

JavaScript makes refresh unnecessary.

^ this implies to me that JS means it doesn't have to reload the page to place the 'Like', but this doesn't happen for me, I get the normal redirect procedure happen. Just noticed the JS error is in relation to that 'like' mod.

Re: FluxBB by Visman

I know why my mod doesn't work with Visman's installation! It appears to load an old jQuery version at the bottom of your pages:

(first line)

There is a conflit between the newest jQuery version (1.7.2 for Like mod v1.0, 1.8.2 for the latest) and the old ones. Delete this line and the mod will work normally.

Re: FluxBB by Visman

Awesome, thanks!

Just trying to find the damn line now....

ok I really can't find what is calling that line.

functions.php?

Yeah, found it, only took 2 and half hours!

function generation_js($ar)
{
	$res = '';
//	if (!empty($ar['j']))
// $res = AJAX_JQUERY."\n";
	if (!empty($ar['f']))
 $res.= ''."\n".''."\n";
	if (!empty($ar['c']))
 $res.= ''."\n";

	return $res;
}

Re: FluxBB by Visman

I'm back with a fresh issue!

The quick quote button on my forum seems to show as 'undefined' rather than 'Quote'.

Like this:

[Delete] [Edit] [Reply] [undefined]

I presume this is a JS error. Any ideas from the wizards please?

Re: FluxBB by Visman

I'm having the invisible BB toolbar problem again :'(

I've done everything we discussed last time, no JS errors, cleared the cache in every which way possible, just doesn't show.

Thanks in advance for any help, no doubt it's something hella obvious.
