FluxBB 1.2.23 released
As a follow on from the security issue fixed in FluxBB 1.4.2, we have now released FluxBB 1.2.23 for anyone still on the FluxBB 1.2.x branch.
We currently don't have a download section on the main site for old versions, though will try and put up some kind of archive with all previous releases, including FluxBB 1.2.x. For now, you can download the update from it's release folder.
This update fixes a couple of minor bugs, and addresses a critical vulnerability discovered in PHPs unserialize() function which affects PHP <= 5.2.13/5.3.2.

Shouldn't have had any effect at all on that, but good I guess

Re: FluxBB 1.2.23 released
Hello wenham, welcome.
If u don't have many mods on ur 1.2.22, it will be simple (for mods, see below).
do a backup of ur files (on the server).
do a backup of ur database (via phpMyAdmin).
upload the fresh new files (from 1.4.2), with db_update.php included.
execute db_update.php (in ur browser, just typing the address). It will migrate ur 1.2.22 database to a 1.4.2 database.
go to ur forum index, it should work...
And that's it.
Next, u (optionnaly) have to re_install the mods u had on 1.2.
Go to the repository out there, and check upon new version (for 1.4.x) of the mod.
If it exists, download and install it.
If not, u can (maybe) try to adapt the 1.2 version to a (now) 1.4.x version. Some mods are easy to migrate, some aren't at all.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.23 released
Thanks a lot Mpok !
I followed your instructions and I succeeded.
I didn't loose any database.
AS a matter of fact, here is what I did :
- I created a new directory next to my forum and called it "forum_new"and I filed it with the old version 1.2.22
- Then I overwrited it with the 1.42 version
- I launched on the address bar the new Forum and it says : I should run the db_update.php
- And That's what I did, so everything went fast and in 2 minutes it was finished.
- I forgot one thing,Language I'am using : French, so I have to go in translating some files one more time. But that's no problem.
Anyhow thanks !
