Option To Exclude Certain Names

Hello there,

Was wondering ( cause I can't find it ) if there is any way to stop people from using names like admin, administrator, moderator, or some derivative there of that would make them seem like some sort of mod or admin on the board.  Certainly the person would be banned and the account left in limbo.  I was just curious if there was a way to set names that can't be used up front before it even became an issue.

also,

if there any way to import or take the contents of an old bad word list and copy and paste it someplace rather then doing it word by word?  Just curious before I set out on the task of adding all those words..

Thanks!

Kind regards,
Saxamo

Added in r1066.  Add usernames to disallow (ban) under Administration > Bans.

Using phpMyAdmin, you should be able to import the list into the censoring table.

Re: Option To Exclude Certain Names

That works great.. If people read.. lol.. leave the ban username blank and click add.  This will allow you to create bans before the username exists.  Excellent option.. Thanks!
