Chatroom (IRC)

I'm not sure everyone is aware, but we do have an IRC chatroom if people want to come and hangout #fluxbb @ irc.freenode.net

I have also just setup a page so you can access chat from your browser http://fluxbb.org/community/irc.html

Freenode FAQ.
Freenode Commands.

Re: Chatroom (IRC)

It has been around for ages, all that's new is the page to access it from your browser if you don't wish to use a real IRC client.

It should work now anyway, I edited it a few hours after first changing it to use the username, to strip non-alphanumeric characters out first.

Nothing we can do about that. The IRC channel is on the Freenode network, if someone is using that nick you'll just have to change it tongue

Re: Chatroom (IRC)

Huh? Freenode blocks Mibbit, there's nothing to "fix", that's what my blog post said.

Re: Chatroom (IRC)

That means "fixing" is either switching from Mibbit to some other client, like in the blog post, or switching to something else than freenode...

Re: Chatroom (IRC)

No official ones, no. @Oldskool might have some...

@FSX: Could you maybe comment on how we could best set up an IRC bot that we could write some cool features for and also use for logging?
