FluxBB 1.2.20 released
As many people have pointed out in the forums, the recently released FluxBB 1.2.19 introduced a bug in how nested BBCode was handled, which resulted in various valid combinations of BBCode causing errors. To address these concerns, FluxBB 1.2.20 has been released.
This new version removes the code added in include/parser.php which was causing the issue and replaces it with new code which handles the underlying issue in a different way. As a result, there should be no problems with any valid combination of BBCode.
We are committed to keeping the 1.2 branch in stable and working order even as we work on 1.3. The previous release failed to do so, and therefore we would like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience that the bug may have caused our users. We realize that the fix should have been tested more thoroughly before being used in a release and we will endeavor to make sure such mistakes do not happen in the future.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
I wonder, can I update my PunBB1.2.17 directly into this version by overwriting the folders in the FTP? It says "However, it is possible to update all v1.2 releases of PunBB to FluxBB 1.2.20." on the frontpage but it doesn't seem like this is possible in the wiki.

It is, if you haven't applied modifications anyway.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
Modifications meaning..? I do have things like Private Message installed, and some smaller text changes in other files not affecting anything more than text.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
Well, stuff like Private Messaging for example
In your case it's probably better to use the hdiff.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
Jesus christ, am I supposed to change all that by hand? o_O Maybe it is better if I just go through the versions one by one instead, PunBB1.2.18->FluxBB1.2.19->FluxBB1.2.20. If there isn't any problem with that as well, that is,

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
****. Sorry for that, but as you said that, I just noticed that the PM mod wasn't there anylonger from my upate 1.2.16->1.2.17. But, with that out of the way, I suppose I can update directly than,
EDIT: That's odd, the PM mod is there after all, just not in the menu anylonger, :S

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
You probably replaced a bit too much. From what I recall, the PM mod includes a file where the menu is generated. It's easy to delete something like that accidentally.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
OK. But if it were left from the update 2.16->2.17, couldn't it be left from 2.17->2.18->Flux2.19.>Flux2.20?
Or do I have to empty the whole Plugins map or something?
Thank you for the above answers btw, appreciated.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
I don't get what you're saying there. I suggest you open up the readme of the PM mod, and see where you might've deleted something. Then continue upgrading.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
Oh well, I'll just go on to the next updates anyway. What I referred to was if there could've been some problem with updating even if I had the PMmod. But I'll go on as you said, and test jumping from 2.17 to Flux2.20 and then fixing the mods.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
I believe if you overwrite the function.php file it would remove the link. When I installed PM I always edited the function.php file to allow the link to be in nav without having it in the addon links in admin panel.
I might be completely off of what your talking about though as I found your wording a little confusing. Did you indeed overwrite all the files instead of the hdiff?

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
I overwrote all the files it wanted to overwrite, yes. But I believe the PM mod is not a serious problem, what I can remember, I've fixed it opnce before by adding some rows in a file, as you said.
For someone like me without any knowledge at all almost about this kind of codes and stuff, it might anyway be better just to overwrite and add what's missed later than go in manually and mess it up,
EDIT: Well, update successful as I can see. Will fix the PM and so later.

Re: FluxBB 1.2.20 released
alright. Yea if pm mod was only thing you had in your forum modded then for you the best solution would be to overwrite and mod the files again if you arnt able to do the changing of each file yourself for certain without complications. Good luck with your Pm fix.
