Fix new commit notification

The admin panel keeps telling us there are new commits. Even when they are not. That's caused by the recent repository move.

I just noticed that when you have a 404 error, the notification is gone.

I'm not sure why, but this morning, this notification was back blue for me for a short amout of time.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. It's because I had manually checked out the master branch in our site's working copy of the Git repo. When using the site to update, this apparently does not work. But it's a good hint where to start looking for this bug now.
