Ticket #691 (open enhancement)
FluxBB Statistics page

I was searching on the website of WordPress and I found a page that follows how many of the WP-installations ar running one of the versions of WordPress and on whish version of PHP and MySQL it was installed.
Maybe it's a good idea to have this to for FluxBB, so it’s more easy for the developers to see for whish version of PHP and/or MySQL they have to develop FluxBB.

- Milestone set to 2.4.
- Summary changed from FluxBB Statics page to FluxBB Statistics page.
That was once discussed, and it's on my post-2.0 list.
Even though it would probably make more sense here on this site: feel free to create a community site (along with modification/extension) for this!

I was discussing something like this just now with Wikimedia Foundation Employee Oliver Keyes and he suggested we do something similar to what Wordpress does (Jetpack by Wordpress.com - Search it) to encourage users to allow the collection of more data such as what DokuWiki does.
DokuWiki (For those not familiar with their collection) collects software version, PHP version, MySQL version, Web server, Language, Page count, Users, Media and alot more.
So I personally propose we collect the above data (Forum Version, PHP, SQL type & version, Webserver) by mainly default and allow users to download a plugin by us that allows the collection of larger data to improve what we understand about usage. In return to those who send us data, We could provide them with something small to encourage the data to keep coming and to encourage others to send data.
