Ticket #838 (fixed bug)
Moderators can edit Admin's posts.

- Milestone: 1.5.4
- Component: code
- Priority: low
This is an anomaly that should be corrected in core. Moderators should not be able to edit posts made by the Administrator(s).

- Milestone set to 1.5.4.

- Type changed from task to bug.
How about Admin notes? Should mods be able to modify it?

I do not see why they should not be allowed to do so, if they have the rights to moderate a forum.

- Priority changed from normal to low.

The hierarchy has to be observed in everything. The administrator is more chief than the moderator.

I agree, but there are cases where the edition of such messages can be useful. If you don't trust your mods, then don't assign them.

I think this *must* be at least an administrator choice (with a checkbox option in the admin panel). Something like:
* Allow the Moderators to modify Administrators' posts [_]
Honestly, I consider obvious that an admin's post shouldn't be editable by anyone else, especially if this privilege is allowed by default. It is not a question of confidence, it's a normal hierarchy.
- Owner set to quy.
- Status changed from open to fixed.
