Ticket #782 (open enhancement)

HTTP error when using right URL

  • Created: 2012-12-09 09:52:04
  • Reported by: Studio384
  • Assigned to: None
  • Milestone: 2.0-alpha5
  • Component: code
  • Priority: normal

When the root URL of FluxBB is set as

http://forum.example.be

You will get a HTTP_REFERER error if you do an edit from

http://example.be/forum

Anyway, those 2 adresses mean exactly the same.

Right now, FluxBB can't really cope with multiple different base URLs. Is that want you want, essentially?

If so, this will either be possible out-of-the-box with Laravel, or at least very easy to implement.

For now, I'd recommend automatically redirecting all requests to the subdomain (which also makes sense from a SEO perspective - duplicate content etc.)

  • Status changed from open to wontfix.

As closing this as 'wont fix' for now anyway, I would like to just point out from my experience, those urls are in fact as different as a developer and a user.

  • Milestone set to 2.0-alpha5.
  • Status changed from wontfix to open.
  • Type changed from bug to enhancement.

Wait, if it is easy with Laravel implementation, I will just revert closure and set it for Alpha 5.
