Question about creating a style.

Hello to you.

I currently have a website (CSS sheet and HTML page with images) simple.
To be in harmony with the forum I was wondering if it was possible to make the forum as the site (the theme).
If yes, how to do it please?

If there is need for a screen capture of the site to assess the problem, ask me.

Thank you!

Re: Question about creating a style.

Hello and welcome to our forums! smile

What you describe should easily be possible if you know how to get around with CSS. Just check out our documentation about developing styles.

Re: Question about creating a style.

The problem is that my web capabilities are very limited, I made a template present on the internet.

noef.png

Basically what I want on the forum vis-à-vis my site is the top menu + logo in white box and categories ...
This is easily doable?

Re: Question about creating a style.

How "very limited" are your skills? Without a decent level of knowledge of CSS and HTML, it's not going to be easy at all.

Re: Question about creating a style.

Limit really, I know two to three things, but it stops there.
My style sheet is about 1000 rows so it is not insurmountable.
The problematic:
How do I take? I do not see at all how to adapt it to the forum.

Re: Question about creating a style.

Check out the source code of the forums and make sure you know all the CSS classes and ids that the forums use. Different pages use different styles, so be sure to look at the source of all the pages. The easiest way to start is probably to edit the default style to look more and more like your home page's theme.

Re: Question about creating a style.

If I provided by private courier my CSS and my HTML code you could do me?
I feel that if I'm not successful ...

Re: Question about creating a style.

It's not going to be easy to find someone who is willing to do that. It's tedious work to create a style. Not difficult, but certainly tedious.

Re: Question about creating a style.

The first thing you need to do is add the code for the header and footer of your site to the include/template/main.tpl files.

And then it should work! smile

Try by editing that template, putting your footer and header there (and a link to your css within the <head> tag).

Considering that you have just plain html (with no php, as far as I understand), you don't need to include file etc... (even if it would be *easier* to manage)

Re: Question about creating a style.

And also my menu uses php to detect if the person is connected or not (because I want to remove the main menu to redo mine).
I use a specific page for this menu that I need to include on all my pages on my site (for whatever easier) but still I can not do it in the file because the main.tpl dwt do not take php.
How can I do?

Re: Question about creating a style.

Just remove the <pun_navlinks> tag from main.tpl.

Re: Question about creating a style.

Thank you.

There is not however a file dedicated precisely to this "tool" for example to disconnect it looks like it is in session view of the link disconnection?

Re: Question about creating a style.

I'm not sure what you mean by "link." Do you mean the link to the database?

Re: Question about creating a style.

To disconnect is managed by token, and as I make my own menu, how can I make it that way Wholesale:
login.php?action=out&id=2&csrf_token=65e55ff2b9095e7b2196af0295dce9fb057aa391

Re: Question about creating a style.

That part is located in header.php, line 210:

$links[] = '<li id="navlogout"><a href="login.php?action=out&amp;id='.$pun_user['id'].'&amp;csrf_token='.pun_hash($pun_user['id'].pun_hash(get_remote_address())).'">'.$lang_common['Logout'].'</a></li>';

Re: Question about creating a style.

I find it hard to use functions FluxBB.
I read this page: http://fluxbb.org/docs/v1.5/functions
But for example, how to display the username of a user?
This is check_username($username, $exclude_id)
But how to use it properly?
