Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

Sorry I'm not following what you're trying to say; I was referring to the prefix being rubbish because it's outdated and confusing, I wasn't trying to imply anything about PunBB itself. No-one is attacking anyone here?

I agree with that. There's no attack against something or someone in this sentences. If you take it as an attack, I apologize :\

Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

Thanks

1. What's wrong with the user title there?
2. That's invalid code, there shouldn't be a space after the # wink

1."Allow users moderator privileges"ect. should not be there? It's Guest. And in the second picture, those are Member when I use 1.3, all becomes Guest.

As this link talked about.

2.Thanks!

Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

Hello guys smile
I want to upgrade my forum ver. 1.3 to ver. 1.4, but i develop some extension. My questions is what's happend with extension after upgrade? I install the clear ver.1.4 and i can't find the option in administration to load extension like 1.3. Is it possible to use extension in ver. 1.4 ?

Thanks in advance.

Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

You have to use either modifications or plugins. Usually they should already exist. There were hardly any extensions that didn't exist as modifications for 1.2/1.4.

Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

it's realy bad sad, because i create extension to implement the forum into my web, and if i upgrade, everything will be broke.  I need the poll, but i find the poll only for other version of forum, and this is the reason why i want to upgrade. May be i should create poll extension form me ;(

Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

If I understood you correctly, you want to integrate your forum into your site!? That is still possible - I suggest you take a look at the files in the include/template folder.

There is a poll modification for PunBB/FluxBB v1.2 available at PunRes. I'm pretty certain it should work with v1.4. If it doesn't, it should only need some minor modifications to get it to work...

Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

Yes i find this poll, but it's working only in 1.2. This is the reason why i want to upgrade to 1.4 and fix the problem in this poll, but i don't want to lose anything from 1.3. May be this one isn't posible ;(
I should install 1.4, copy the DB from 1.3 and after that go to the template folder and fix the design.

Thanks alot for information guys.

Re: 1.3 to 1.4 Upgrade testing

Ah, you don't want to lose your polls from 1.3, right? In that case you probably have to take a look at the database structure of the poll extension vs. the poll mod - if you need help, just mail me.
