Announcements or Global Announements?

How about a feature to post Announcements? Not just stickies.
Or to post Global Announcements, or both?

I don't think it really needs it, but it would be a nice feature to have.
As some people, including me, like posting Announcements.

Now I know there is a feature in the Administration panel to post announcements, but I'm talking about in separate forums where you want a announcement at.

Forgive me if this is a stupid request.
