hm, don't think it's allowed.

so i edited the post.php, line 511:

        $checkboxes[] = '<label><input type="checkbox" name="subscribe" value="1" tabindex="'.($cur_index++).'"'.( (isset($_POST['subscribe']) OR empty($_POST)) ? ' checked="checked"' : '').' />'.$lang_post['Subscribe'];

adding the empty($_POST)

This is included in 1.4 but not in 1.2 I'm afraid, so you will need to mod it (as you've done).

i don't know if i should wait to 1.4 to set up my forum or start now...

if 1.4 will implements this 1.3 layout i can wait it, but i think 1.4 will remain with 1.2 layout

We currently have discussions going on in the dev board about what theme 1.4 should use by default

My $.02 would be to ship 1.4 with a new default theme, the work that went into 1.3's look and feel can be brought over. Just pick another element, like Titanium, Helium or Hydrogen. Heck, we can have a contest to pick the new name, the winner receives a free copy of FluxBB 1.4
