I'm not sure everyone is aware, but we do have an IRC chatroom if people want to come and hangout #fluxbb @ irc.freenode.net
I have also just setup a page so you can access chat from your browser http://fluxbb.org/community/irc.html

It has been around for ages, all that's new is the page to access it from your browser if you don't wish to use a real IRC client.

It has been around for ages, all that's new is the page to access it from your browser if you don't wish to use a real IRC client.
yep know about that, its good to be shown for users, may be add a lint in the menu.

The other 1% is when my internet is being gay or my comp has restarted and mIRC hasn't started with it

Could be. I was able to use DrJeckyl. No biggie.
It should work now anyway, I edited it a few hours after first changing it to use the username, to strip non-alphanumeric characters out first.

Still no biggie.
Nothing we can do about that. The IRC channel is on the Freenode network, if someone is using that nick you'll just have to change it
