Re: The new style

I've been following this thread and I sometimes wonder why we have to have the style just perfect for our own individual needs. Once 1.3 is shipped, we are all entitled to grab the code and style our forums the way we desire.

Is the lack of a true templating system causing everybody to try and get it just right before core code ships?

Re: The new style

yep but the offical style represents the whole forum, the more bitter it is the more famous it will become.

Well, what *you* think is better isn't necessarily better.

Re: The new style

To be honest at this stage I'm only interested in things which necessitate markup and langauge file changes. Otherwise we are dealing with matters of personal taste. Besides, the stylesheet is the last thing to be done before final release largely because it doesn't get it anybody else's way so nobody really knows how its going to end up not even me.

Re: The new style

Probably you know abaut much things i post but still i think it's no harm if i find something on fluxbb.org site upgraded to latest SVN and report it.

Browser IE7. Usual happens when i read some topic first. After refresh the same page the problem is gone. Its no particular pattern when these happens. Sometimes it does a lot of times it doesn't.

Quick post looks much better now in my personal opinion. More information yust made it not so good.

At this stage, the forum appears to run solid.

I haven't encountered any oddities, participating here as a user, or on my own test board as an admin. Once we have an RC, then I think a lot of us will replace some lightly modded PunBB boards with FluxBB candidates to iron out any remaining issues.

And don't call me bitter wink

Re: The new style

I don't know if this has been covered or if this is even the right place to post - this thread is a bit long to read completely!

I've been comparing 1.3.2 with the latest revision. Seriously, the latest revision looks great. One thing I liked better in 1.3.2 though, is the 'Select forums to search:' scroll down bar. In fact, I think it would really compliment the clean and sleek look of the latest revision.

Just my 2 cents!

That was changed because the new way allows for searching multiple forums rather than just one.

Re: The new style

i really dislike how forum_crumbs is placed on a separate row. it looks kinda silly. isnt there a way to get it on the same row as the page counter? like in 1.2.
