Site - Resources Pages
It seems the structure is a little complex for somebody who just wants to download a mod in a chosen file format. The have to go through the modifications detail page to the release page to get at the various format downloads. Shouldn't the mod details page provide links for all format downloads and contain information regarding supported versions. That way an ordinary user never has to view the releases page at all.
EDIT: Ignore me, I can make it look easier. One thing though, the only reason a user would be interested in the mods revision history is if they need to download an older version to support an older version of FluxBB. That being so the FluxBB version support information should be on the mod details page. In fact it should be there anyway because its a far more important bit of information that the number of downloads etc.

Re: Site - Resources Pages
I don't think the download link would have to be there for every format anyway (on the mod repo front page).
However, you have a point regarding the revision history - though I think old revisions should still be displayed, maybe less prominent. How exactly would you do it, though? Show another filter or just display the forum version data for the most recent release on the mod page, too?

Re: Site - Resources Pages
I would display the forum version data for the latest release. It just seems kind of incomplete without it. Also bear in mind people are lazy. They may just have hit a link to the mod from the front page so they won't have filtered the mods.

Re: Site - Resources Pages
Ok, I've added this now to the mod details page.
It's not very pretty, but consistent and it works. If somebody wants to make this look better, please do so!

Re: Site - Resources Pages
It should be great to have the possibility to see (if pertinent) some screen-shots of the modifications (and, later, plug-ins & styles) before downloading, and to have more details. It should help an user to know if the mod is the correct "answer to what he is looking for. => for the developer to be able to upload screen-shots, and for the user to have a "preview" button to see what it looks (on the mod or release page, to be defined).
A "read-me" file with more details (exact functionalities, parameters...) could be great too, if needed.
I didn't say that it should be mandatory, just that for some not-so-easy mods a developer should be able to add a read-me file and screen-shots.

Re: Site - Resources Pages
@Franz : sry if i misunderstood u, but what is "mod details page" ? And what have u added ?
@Gil : i agree with u, but all u suggest is for the devs part only (not fluxbb.org). It's up to devs of mods (including me) to provide screenshots, or better description of their mods.

Re: Site - Resources Pages
Ok, seems a vocabulary pbm, probably my fault.
The link u provided is the 'mod main link', so my question about 'details'. Ok, sry.
Still the second question : what have u added ?

Not exactly. Not 100%. Could be improved on fluxbb side.
Examples: https://fluxbb.org/resources/mods/colorize-groups/ or https://fluxbb.org/resources/mods/ajax-post-edit/.
Better: in the description, devs should be able to add true links in the description (no need of copy/paste)
Better: in the description, devs should be able to add thumbnails as links to screen-shots
Better: in the description, devs should be able to add a 'read-me' file (so description field size can be limited, read-me file being the true detailed description: what-is-it and how-to-use). OK this file can be in the zip package, but a direct access to this file should be more useful!
Better: direct access to a detailed read-me and screen-shots (need of an improved "submit new modification" form). This allows flux to change the presentation (at least to process "read-me" field (if file exists) and screen-shot field(s) (if exist), like the 'website' field.

Re: Site - Resources Pages
Hello,
I'm an author of open source software and I'm interested in implementing your resources system in my website. Is it free and open source? If not, can I buy it?
Thank you.
