Help - URL redirects!!!
Hi,
I have been running Fluxbb for nearly a year now on my site. I have version 1.3
However in the last few weeks, when i try to click a link, it redirects to a non-existent URLs.
For example, if I try to go to www.rasikas.org, it redirects to http://www.rasikas.org/VlmPV/
There is no directory like /VlmPV/ in my site.
This doesnt happen always, it happens every now and then. Many other users (but not all) have also reported the same problem. Whenever it redirects, it's always to a directory with a 5 characters name like the above with a mix of uppercase and lowercase characters.
Is this due to some bug in the script or due to virus activity that the non-existent directory is inserted into the URL?
Has someone reported this issue here already before that I can refer to for a possible solution?

Never seen anything like it, and I'm fairly sure it isn't anything in FluxBB causing it.
Is it the link in the actual webpage being changed to that, or is the link correct but when you click on it you end up at that wrong URL?
What webserver are you using, Apache?

Re: Help - URL redirects!!!
Hey Reines, thanks for the response.
The actual webpage is never displayed. When I click on a link (or enter the URL in the address bar), the URL gets modified and I get the 404 error.
I am using a LAMP server.

I would check access logs to see if you can spot any patterns.

Re: Help - URL redirects!!!
That depends on your server operating system.
EDIT: Actually, you can probably access them through your site configuration panel (something like CPanel).
