Do we need Sticky: Closed: on certain search screens?

When viewing a forum, yeah I want to know why certain topics are above another or which are closed for discussion. But on a search, of New posts and Active topics, what's important is that they've had activity.

Re: Do we need Sticky: Closed: on certain search screens?
I don't totally agree. I think the current subtext is too big, heavy, disturbing from the important things (and I've said so in another thread).
However, having a search result sticky is a way of telling the reader this thread is more important than the others. Having it says its closed, tell the reader not to bother if he wants to add something on that exact topic, he can't do it here.
So, for myself, I don't think this is an issue with search, I think it's an overall issue with subtext.
