Orca an Ajax Forum Software

Orca an Ajax Forum Software, i just brought that up because it would, may be assets ext developers to work on little ajax.

http://www.boonex.com/products/orca

Enjoy The Spirit Of Web 2.0 With 100% AJAX Forum Software For a Self-Moderated Community

In the world of accelerating technologies you don't want archaic forum software. You want something new, fresh, classy, stylish and sexy - just like Orca.

Orca introduces a new approach to building online discussion boards. The main focus in Orca is given to self-moderation - it provides tools to build a community without -moderators or administrators. It gives true freedom.

AJAXy. Ok, AJAX is cool and trendy, but what's more important - it makes web apps work better. Orca is an AJAX forums script, using AJAX exactly where it should be used. This brings unique user experiences and considerable server load savings.

Integratable. You might already have a website, and it might already have a good database of users. Orca is remarkably easy to integrate with your existing user database. You just add it to your site, and it accepts existing members with their photos and passwords.

Self-ruling. Forums need close attention to run smoothly. Orca doesn't. We built Orca as a self-moderated community script, which can work effectively without any moderators whatsoever.

Free + open-source. Free community needs a free forum script. Orca is completely free, open-source and free in terms of licensing. Orca is distributed under CC-BY public license, which allows freedom of use and distribution.
AJAX Done Right

Everyone wants an AJAX-powered forum, but it used to be impossible to have one. BoonEx managed to overcome AJAX-related flaws in terms of programming and usability. Orca is an AJAX forum without AJAX problems. The "Back" button does work, bookmarks do work, permalinks do work and yes, it is search-engine-friendly.

althrought how impressive orca is but it misses aloooooooot and alot of necessary features. they don't even have a profiles and users can even change a pass. no admin area. etc

the demo is also here: http://www.wrestlingfans.co.cc/orca/

i thought it an extension can make this much ajax then it would be just amazing, thought i am not asking for it. i know that fluxbb is fast without an ajax but ajax make things look just cool.

lets see what you think about that software.

That and the other systems they do are evilly written. Had a look at one of those a while back 'cos someone was having a problem with it. It's like trying to get around Spahetti Junction without a road map.

Re: Orca an Ajax Forum Software

If it's just the Ajax bit you're referring to, I'm sure there'll be some on here doing various extensions for that for Flux, when it leaves Beta status.
