Topic: Smilies in quotes
If you post a
inside a quote tag, it does not show, but if for example you post a
inside, that shows.
How come?

Wierd, ![]()
The actual bug is that the first smilie in the quote isn't shown, i'll look into it.
How come the third "smilie" isnt shown either though, it should be the same as smilie 4
=] isn't a smilie is it?
Indeed its not, I was meant to put = ) lol ![]()

It's actually nothing to do with the fact it's in a quote, it's because the parser currently makes sure there is a white-space before the smiley and a non-word after it.
See: a:) .:) [:)

Making sure there was a non-word before too rather than a white-space would fix it inside quotes, though I'm not sure if there was a reason for specifically requiring a white-space there?
I think it might have been to stop them getting parsed in urls
Is there a way to let them be parsed if they are after something like ] for example a [/ quote] tag?
Yeh, that was what I was planning, just haven't got round to doing it
apart from after ] i don't think you'd have a smiley after any other non-whitespace character would you?
None that I can think of, unless you try to chain together a few smilies without spaces. ![]()
:(
some strange people like to put a chain of tongues together
:P:P
Fixed, if you want a chain of smilies, use the spacebar ![]()
