btw, Dr.Jeckyl, maybe you could crop some of those screenshots, the whitespace at the bottom of the browser is just a waste of space really. Looking good though smile

I did for the forum installation one but not for the extension one. I'll fix tonight.

Thanks! big_smile

Clean it up and clarify the steps. To you or I it's not even necessary but to some one who has never installed a forum (who these are targeted to) I want to leave no guess work for them.

For some reason I can't get forced linebreaks to work. I keep trying 2 backslashes followed by a space (whitespace) and the preview takes away 1 backslash and the whitespace. I'm trying to keep an image from appearing at the end of a sentence and get it to be on the next line.. but having no luck.

Link..

FYI: IT'S STILL IN PROGRESS!

Pretty good. I do that often also.

So I think I got all the caps I'll need. Next I'm going to familiarize myself with how to write Wiki pages.

EDIT: YAY! My first Wiki page!

Forum subscriptions would be great. I use it at another forum I frequent and it works great.

Well my fonts/desktop are quite easy to read. I'll snap a pic tonight if I can remember.

Oh man, as i sayd, a formum administrator should be abble to use RSS.

I think what they mean is not all USERS use RSS feeds.

I agree with the mailing list option. However I'm here multiple times a day and I'm sure updates won't go unnoticed.

Ah. Well I'm just going to do screenshots and then make a wiki page for them so I guess the point is moot. wink

If I were to do videos they would end up being embedded flash conversions. The program I used last time did a great job with keeping the quality I wanted while maintaining a small file size. The file size only got over 2 megs on 2 videos if I recall, and the res was 1024x768 with all on screen text readable.

I think I'm leaning more on screenshots since I can focus on different parts of the screen without making a video too big. Plus I'd imagine it would make it easier to put in the wiki.

I was going to start remaking my tut videos and thought I'd ask first.

What would best served, screenshots or videos? Can videos be embedded in the wiki?
