Well ... the extensions were only in dev!
One was a "hide" tag. The message is hidden until you click on it, when it opens up in a new window. Useful for puzzle pages ... people can post their answers, and others don't accidentally see an answer.

I also have nearly all my mods as extensions ready for 1.3. So that was for nothing?
And I face a difficult upgrade to 1.4 as well, without benefit of extensions ![]()
But the reward will be a new improved extension system for 2.0 (but incompatible with 1.3 extensions)
Is that how the plan will affect me?

Being too ambitious may lead to failure. Set some modest goals and achieve them.
Personally I have been waiting for the 1.3 extension system ... even did dome extension development in preparation for 1.3 because I want to create a "math question bank" on the forum.
Is there no way you can complete 1.3 and release it? Maybe there is a way to smooth the transition of extensions to 2.0 when the time comes?
Whatever you decide, can you please spell it out in simple terms: Is 1.3* dead? Do we stick with 1.2* until 1.4? Or 2.0?

Someone marked the English Wikipedia article for deletion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FluxBB

I would guess most current users only want to run stable releases. If somebody has a functional 1.2.17 forum there really isn't much incentive to update to Flux 1.2.18 and they are not going to try 1.3 until its final. I really wouldn't expect a significant amount of installations at this point.
Exactly right. That is my situation. Though I may consider a beta3 or RC ![]()

I (for one) intend to upgrade from PunBB 1.2.17 to FluxBB 1.3, as I don't wish to take two steps (Pun1.2.17->Flux1.2.18->Flux1.3).
I hope this will be provided for, as there will be lots of people like me.

Bouncing this, as I think we really should have a new board description.

Maybe you could achieve your goals by contributing to FluxBB? And that way we would all benefit!

Flux means flow. So:
Go with the flow ... go with FluxBB.
FluxBB is the way to flow.
Make your forum flow with FluxBB

To me "FluxBB" actually sounds better than "PunBB". And "x" is a power letter.
(And I feel happier without corporate control, too!)
