Whilst I think that the current 1.3 should perhaps be turned into a 2.0 - more frequent beta releases on the path towards 2.0 final might be a good idea.

Regular releases are badly needed, FluxBB has already gone into "coming soon" and "when it's ready" excuses.  The fact is the proposed dates are so far into the future that they're likely to be missed and extended yet again.  Many people judge projects on how frequently they release, whilst delaying 2.0 for later next year might be okay - it needs plenty of beta releases to allow developers to focus on specific features to make progress towards the final goal.

It doesn't need to be perfect, but you just need to get the releases out!
