if ($pass == 0)
message($lang_register['Spam IP Failed']);Check make sure you have changed this line to include the == . The released version only has one, which isnt correct. i have also added dnsbl.tornevall.org
I also use Spam & anonymizer protection (mod by codexp@tasarinan.com) to log it.

Hey,
I have recently ported a forum from SMF to Fluxbb and have got the users to reset their password and many users are reporting issues when trying this.
I am not using SMPT to send emails, just php's sendmail. I cant see anything on SSH to show it isnt sending and I have edited the script so it also sends myself copy of the Email and I seem to get most of them fine.
Can anyone test a sign up with a forgot password and test please?
I am using my own VPS server and as far as I am aware I have set up correctly, but users are sure they are not getting the emails. What benefit would the SMPT give me over this?

What is the best way to do a 3* column table with as many rows as I want?
* Or if possible to show as many items as possible on the screen size?
Idea: its for a product listing, so:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8

Project management has nothing to do with it. It's been explained before.
I would have to disagree with you there. With project management you learn a key aspect, Time keeping. As with any project it is good practice and sometime vital that deadlines are set, maintained and kept to. Given this situation where work is done voluntarily, I understand that it may be hard to plan. However as you are still dealing with customers (IE. The community) then there should be some official word on the process.
I think successful project management would excel greatly.
Regardless of the methodology used, the project development process will have the same major stages:
1 initiation,
2 planning or development,
3 production or execution,
4 monitoring and controlling, and
5 closing.
I feel that stages 3 and 4 is where the issues lie within and could be dealt with.

As already stated before, the guidelines were just estimated, and 1.3/1.4 are close to being released...
I know. I also noticed you havnt answered my question
I think once youk now what members of your team have been involved in project management then you will able to delegate tasks thought the development team, and things will improve drastically

Fair enough, but 1.4 was suppose to be released in the first quator of the year, we are now in the second quator.
If this is true, Do you guys have any set plans? I mean you have 9/10 developers, Do any of the new guys have any exexperience in project management and are able to help with the progress of FluxBB?
having targets (S.M.A.R.T) does help?

Its a problem for both sides, fluxbb dosnt have the best reputation for sticking to a time line, and punbb dosnt update theirs as often as could, So both are pretty pointless in some aspects.
I made my post about the look and feel in another topic so there is no need to bring it up here.

As there is no real list of what 1.4 will containt that 1.2 dosnt, its hard to comment on that.
I dont agree with you there, thats almost like saying why use 1.2 insted of 1.3. features that 1.3 provides such as the extension system, SEO urls, newer look/layout/feel is what I want from the software, and Developers have confirmed they wont be apparent in 1.4 so for me, Its useless and I have to wait till 2.0 Is out.

To some extend I agree with you there, However like a developer said that one of the main features of 1.3 is the extension system (one click install), initially it wasnt designed to be as big as it is now, and having it that you have to "reinstall" the extension everytime a change is made it isnt the best way.
With 1.2 there was very limited negative points that could have been said, but with 1.3 there are a few more.
Though It is alittle annoying that 1.3 isnt going to be supported, and that 1.4 is no good to me. (off the top of my head, the only feature being added into 1.4 is the utf 8, which I have never needed (afaik) and wont need it) and I also have projects that would benifit from 1.3.
But we have to wait, Sorry.
I think this thread should be closed *sigh*
No? As long as it dosnt turn into a big argument or slagging match, people are free to say their opnion.

Needs to have more about Fluxbb

trust me, That's the last thing on my mind. Its because its Wrong and sick. yes you can have animals morph to the shape of humans, but giving them errect nipples and a pussy. What is the point? What was your "artist" thinking.
to me, they need help.. allot of it, mainly looking at the picture you have on your Wiki page.
Edit: looking around just makes me think that my statment above its true.

Its mainly the bit about the female body aspects thats gets me.

To me, this is wrong. A cheetah should be seen as a female body and I think its just sick to illustrate a female.
I think its wrong to give the Cheetah female bodily aspects.

I have always found Punbb/FluxBB to be amazing and at time I did try to make punbb into a simple website (not forum) because I though that the way punbb was coded was fab. I have found something like punbb: Pixie
www.getpixie.co.uk Its a fab light simple website, easy, fast and quick to use.
Its interesting to see the ways different people approach the same method.

This could also be extended to paid modifications. Some users have unique needs, and paid work can step in here, like im doing over at Punbb.

1.4 will happen quickly and will be completely based on 1.2.*, which is very stable.
The way you say this in reply to the previous post makes it sound like it is better than 1.3, and we should use it over 1.3. Not everyone thinks that going back to 1.2 and modifying it, is the best way to go. Though 1.3 is far from perfect, I would much rather have 1.3 over 1.2. Mainly because 1.2 looks old now, even the devs said this awhile back.
For some websites , its all about the look and feel of the site/forum that attracts most members, and 1.2 doesn't give you the same feeling you get from 1.3.
Some members here have projects they wish to do using FluxBB, and going to 1.2 isn't an option, its not as powerful as 1.3.
Just some points for you to consider for members not being 100% for 1.2 update. ![]()
