#1 Feature requests » BBCode Keyboard Shortcuts » 2009-02-11 00:57:14

I apologise if this has been requested.
It would be nice if the BBCode had shortcut keys, such as ctrl + b will bold selected text. Perhaps there could be an advanced BBCode version that acts as an extension?
#3 Re: FluxBB discussion » Is FluxBB still an project in progress? » 2008-12-20 05:55:09

What upsets me the most was he (Paul) stated there was a "few" days worth of work left, when 1.3 was meant to be released. I know he has a life to maintain and I respect that. But this is getting beyond a joke. I am losing alot of interest within this project due to the lack of proper management. I am finding that Paul is holding up development of this project.
Could we please have a progress update Paul?

1- almost are the 1.2 forums are punbb supported ... so why go here and ask questions that need to be asked there.
2- as you can see there no much topics in the 1.2 section of flux forum.
3- no mods hosting no style hosting etc.
4- i noticed that the devs of flux are still devs in pun. so whenever there are security updates or some thing like that . they will post there as they said.
5- as for upgrading from 1.2 issues can be discussed at a certain forum or a sticky topic.
6- if i were one of the devs i would feel a little bad for leaving the pun devs like. i mean antology bought punbb by money . no he lost his devs team . so wats left with him from that project he buyed. some people only hate him because he changed the domain. thats the only bad choice he made for punbb. and i will not feel unsecure with him just because of that. so thats why i said leave the 1.2 project to him as most of the 1.3 project was done by current devs so they deserve it. he only buyed it from rickard.
and please dont delete this post for being a little off topic.
I would ignore your posts if there were such a feature to do so. I value your opinions like everyone else but some suggestions are just right out of the ball park. They make no sense and contain no relevant meaning.
But anyway, so its like Microsoft ditching Windows 2000? Im sorry but people here do continue to use 1.2, as do people continue to use Windows 2000, why? not only because they know it works but it is assured that it is stable. Who cares if there are no modifications or style hosting, really.
However - I do agree on one part - once 1.3 has being released I believe only security updates should be applied to 1.2.*. But ditching the whole 1.2.* series isn't the way to go.
ONE thing you have to remember, FluxBB is based on PunBB. How isn't this fair to the PunBB community? FluxBB and PunBB are going both separate ways. You're saying 1.3 development is for FluxBB, Im sorry but do you understand what is actually going on here?
Offtopic, referring to my post as childish is by far a horrible call. Grow up.

hahahaha
how about a nice idea of mine.
leave the fluxbb/punbb 1.2 to punbb.org
and continue 1.3 development etc for fluxbb
so there will be no support of 1.2 in fluxbb
only 1.2 support continues at punbb.org and punres.org
isnt that fair enough for the punbb.org community
I am really sick of reading your idiotic posts. Obviously you have no understanding on how projects work, dropping support for a stable version of your product is by far the most stupidest move to do. Its like dropping an LTS from Ubuntu before the expiry date.
Also, a nice extension would be have an "ignore list", if anyone is keen to develop one.

Good stuff Paul
(http://fluxbb.org/trac/timeline/)
I see you've committed your style updates. Will there be anymore?
Scratch that, just read the message:
Message:
Start of markup update and langauge file tidying. This is currently incomplete. Absolutly do not run this on any kind of site production or otherwise and do not update the FluxBB.org forum.

There will be no further changes to the markup after beta3 and that should include class/id naming. There may well be further changes to the stylesheets.
I cannot wait for your commits, I keep checking everyday for them ![]()
