Topic: FluxBB 1.3-legacy released
I'd like to announce the release of 1.3-legacy. This will be the last release in the 1.3 branch, but we will provide bugfixes and support until 1.4 is released.
If you require a diff, you can use SVN or TRAC for it, but we won't be providing official diffs for this release.
This release was packed by hand because of troubles with the automated package script. If there are any problems, please tell me as quickly as possible.
And with this I'd like to apologise to the community for all the strange turns we've made with FluxBB, but I still believe it's for the best. Onward to 1.4!

Woohoo! Can't wait for 1.4.
4 active tickets... My guess will be in the first half of June 2009
Thanks!

Re: FluxBB 1.3-legacy released
just a little remark : the download page still has the following warning about 1.3 being a beta
FluxBB v1.3-legacy is a beta release in the true sense of the term. It is still under development and will almost certainly still have some bugs. There may be substantial changes to both code and markup prior to final release.
More detailed information about the features and progress of FluxBB 1.3 is available on our development page.
We would encourage as many people as possible to download and install this development release as your feedback is essential to making FluxBB 1.3 as good as it possibly can be. However, we would suggest that you consider very carefully before deploying it in a production environment. We are running FluxBB 1.3-legacy ourselves so if you want to see it in action visit the forum.
I think it should be updated to make it clear that 1.3 will be dropped and that the recommanded version is now 1.2/1.4.

Re: FluxBB 1.3-legacy released
Thanks a lot for the update!
Would there be a changelog available listing the changes between the preceding1.3 beta and this legacy release?

Re: FluxBB 1.3-legacy released
Changes in the code? Its not really needed for 1.3 as you can overwrite the core files (not config obviously) without a problem.

Hmmh - thought of something less technical than browsing through the source code - but thanks anyway, will dive into this.

Re: FluxBB 1.3-legacy released
You can check the timeline section rather than the changeset, but essentially the changes were mainly bug fixes.

Re: FluxBB 1.3-legacy released
-Currently, I'm using 1.3-r718. How do I upgrade from this version to 1.3-Legacy? Overwrite all files and then run db_update.php?
-I'm currently happy with 1.3-r718. Should I upgrade to 1.3-Legacy?
-Just to make sure, will there be an upgrade path from 1.3-Legacy to 1.4?
