Topic: SVN and Trac

Just to let people know, stuff is happening, SVN is up at http://fluxbb.org/svn/ as well as trac http://fluxbb.org/trac/timeline

Re: SVN and Trac

Have you considered using a distributed version control system like Bazaar or Darcs? (There are Trac plugins for both.) I used to use SVN, but recently I've been using DVCSes and I'm liking that style a lot more.

I'm posting on FORUMS!

Re: SVN and Trac

I personally haven't looked at either, SVN works well for us I think, but I'm interested in having a look at them when I get chance smile

Re: SVN and Trac

Hmm, interesting. I may test one of those out in the future. smile
But yeah, at this point there isn't any huge reason to change version control systems as far as I can see. In the future it might be something to consider.

Re: SVN and Trac

SVN and Trac do the job fine if you ask me. Its something to worry about later not anytime soon.

My Extensions: Last post on subject index | Cash Extension

Note: I had left for a little whilst getting a new full-time job. I have returned and server will be up soon. All extensions I agreed to make will still be done. tongue

Re: SVN and Trac

Anonymous users can submit tickets in TRAC, you may want to disable it if bugs are to be reported on the dedicated forum

Re: SVN and Trac

Thanks, should be fixed

Re: SVN and Trac

There is no need to use trac wiki as fluxxbb has its own documentation wiki, but i think the front page should be edited.
Like, a brief description of the project trac and a clear note pointing to the oficial wiki.

As for distributed version control systems, being fluxbb a project maintained by 4 or 5 people that keep intense contact, I don't see any advantage on a distributed system.
