<title><![CDATA[Rank as picture :D [[ its all rigged up rofl. ]]]]></title>
			<link>http://fluxbb.org/forums/topic/2392/rank-as-picture-d-its-all-rigged-up-rofl/new/posts/</link>
<description><![CDATA[Alright so i was determined to get a picture as my rank!
Haha so i rigged up my forum title as the picture's location such as: admin.jpg is what i will now type in for the title instead of admin

Okay so here is how you do it.

Open Viewtopic.php in the public html folder.

Find: [quote] <?php echo $user_title ?> [/quote]

Now then make that into these simple modifications or replace it w/e you want:

[quote]<?php echo '<img src="http://yourwebsite.com/images/'.$user_title.'">[/quote]

Now NOTICE you must replace yourwebsite.com with yourwebsite URL.... Lol okay and dont forget to replace the /images directory with the one you plan on to put all the pictures of the ranks in and if you do replace the images directory make sure you have the directory made that your saying you do say you change images to /ranks and you dont got that directory well it wont work lol..

Go to the directory where you plan to put the ranks and right click on it CHMOD it to 777 so it works right.

Now after its all replaced etc.. etc.. save and exit now that was a easy modification ey?

Now here comes the rigged up part lol go into your administrator panel on your FluxBB board and go into User Groups now listen close.

Once your in the user group leave the Group title alone just edit the User Title to what the image is loaded up as in your directory.

Say your image is admin.jpg

write in the User Title area [b] admin.jpg [/b] then press save and go check it out!

Heres a pic of proof:

[img]http://i44.tinypic.com/2197v4.jpg[/img]

enjoy rofl.

[b] NOTE: [/b] Remember this modification towards the ranks is only used for ranks like admin, mod, other special ranks. Its not for just regular ranks. Although im about to make one for regular.]]></description>

			<link>http://fluxbb.org/forums/topic/2420/quote-back/new/posts/</link>
			<description><![CDATA[Trying to make this mod,

In any other forum, when you quote someone using the quote button, the displayed text will provide a link back to the post it was quoted. I'm trying to add that to FluxBB 1.2. Not exactly sure the best way atm.

I also suggest this as a addition that should be added to the core of 1.3.

Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!]]></description>

Please check it out and keep in mind that I'm a complete novice at PHP. Only started learning this week as I was forced offline for 10 days due to moving house.

Posted a few other things up on the site though this is the one I'm most pleased with, hoping to get some constructive criticism about where it can be improved. Thanks]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[AJAX Chat is a free and fully customizable open source web chat software implemented in JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. Sound support is implemented using Flash, Socket support using Flash on client-side and Ruby on server-side.

AJAX Chat integrates nicely with phpBB, MyBB, PunBB, SMF, vBulletin and other PHP community software.

Go and download the "ajax_chat-0.8.1.2_PunBB.tar.gz". it works perfectly with fluxBB.

I used it in our community website.]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[multinlingual forum names, caching with js, a style, and a question]]></title>
			<link>http://fluxbb.org/forums/topic/1909/multinlingual-forum-names-caching-with-js-a-style-and-a-question/new/posts/</link>
			<description><![CDATA[hello.
i have made a multilingual forum names modification to punbb 1.2.16. (also ability for guets to change language.)
also client-side caching of "quick jump" and quick post "easy visual bbcodes" in javascript files.
also i have made a modification to the "GreenPun" style.
all that you can see here: [url]http://kukmara.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?id=38&style=GreenPunK[/url]
there are language switcher at top-right corner;
when language is changed forum name changes;
clicking "Җәһәт җавап"/"Быстрый ответ" (on bottom of posts) opens quick post with {easy visual bbcode which(?) code is in javascript file}.
"quick jump" in the left bottom corner is also in javascript file.
the style is called "GreenPunK" which has these differences from "GreenPun": not fixed-width and has other grass image and has big(tall and wide, zoomed with "width" properties) image in background, the board's sheet is centered with javascript.
and i have a question:
please help. i cannot find that style rule which causes that intransparent areas in "postleft" and "postfootleft" class blocks. i looked for them with firefox firebug and with dom inspector looked computed styles, they does not show that they has background color nor second-layer background image; may be i could find it with thoroughly looking at files, but let i ask here.
all that things are there in punres, but old versions.

20th december, 2008: i am going to change default style of kukmara.ru/forum, you can see GreenPunK style with adding &style=GreenPunK to query string of page of that forum. i edited also the above link.]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[Simple elegant dynamic news system?]]></title>
			<link>http://fluxbb.org/forums/topic/1956/simple-elegant-dynamic-news-system/new/posts/</link>
<description><![CDATA[I've searched around and didn't found anything. But just in case, maybe someone will have something nice I've missed.

I'm looking for a simple, get the job done yet elegant (at least, readable) script to do a news system.

Basically something along the line of the old Rickard's News Generator but fully dynamic, and with more possibility.

I don't need a full portal or any modification to the core files, just a script I put outside Flux where I need it that will display the threads I need with _simple_ variables I can move around my html page.

I don't want to rewrite or customize to the teeth one, with Flux 1.3 coming out hopefully somewhere within 3 years or so :P so I'm just looking for something simple that get the jobs done.]]></description>
