SUGGESTION: remove the trac link from the forum menu, and add to the site bar.

I agree on this one, I keep searching for it in the top menu and it is not accessible from outside the forum at the moment

Can I borrow the top bar for the FluxBB demo site? would that be a problem.

Actually this is all a matter of taste and mine happens to be for a lot of white space. The site is optomised for 960px width. I don't mind putting the board back to its original width but I won't change the site to match. Sorry.

I'm not averse to style switching though. No reason there couldn't be a small screen optomised style for the site and forum.

There's 63 pixels before Flux starts, and there's 313 pixels before the real content appear.

I do like too having some space, not be to cramped, but that's a lot of space, a lot of wait, between the real show starts.

Maybe you could consider moving the margins to %? So that big screens have a decent white space to ease the eyes, and small screens don't have too much non-content areas.

Note: the current style allow for 800px screen. It's height is a little too extensive for a small screen (like the 800×400 of an EEEpc), but that's more on the screen's side than on the style's side.
So it's not a real accessibility issue, but a small usability issue in my point of view.

Regarding the forum and the sitebar, the forum is a standard install and I don't really want to customise it just for the site. The gap between the forum and the menu bar is what would normally be the gap between the forum and the top of the page. If I start customizing it then it will be more difficult to keep it updated from svn.

Then maybe it's something worth investigating... because there are a lot of external margins around the board, that's a lot of “wasted” screen space.

Viewing the forums on a EEEpc is a good example of this being an issue.

Maybe you could reduce those margins to 1em or something? Or maybe 1em 2em 2em 2em; for example.
