-Ratings (like the ones on Facepunch. Example (look at the bottom of the post): http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=778487)
-Group pages (with discussions and photo galleries and things like that)

A media player would be useful for the music forum on my site, but it isn't really necessary.

Simple photo gallery inside post.

I think, many forums (like mine ) will use plugin which give possibility to put little photo gallery inside post.
I create this kind of photogallery, which probe you can see here:

Below the photo, you have number of photos. When you click in photo, then open new window with mini-photogallery. This possibility need to be in new/edit post options.
Photo-link to mini-photogallery can be for example 100x100 px and jpg quality 60 (options to change in plugin options).

I think this will be a great plugin to many forums where photos it is of importance, but there is no need of for big with hundreds options photogallery.

I would actually claim that Git makes it easier for you to handle your board with a lot of modifications. Wrote a blog post about it.

Why not, what's going wrong?

- no multigroup
- no polls
- no external auth

And these aren't deal breakers, but still a huge pain in the rear:
- no sub forum
- no clean URI

And some I certainly forgot right now.

But that's just me and one specific project. Just sharing.

So the common answer is probably "So Flux isn't for you", and there I mourn the 1.3 branch... because there's nothing else out there. vB & IPB are way too huge, slow, and not libre; SMF isn't libre; phpBB is a security hellhole; Vanilla is in transition and won't be really stable for at least several months... what else is there? Phorum maybe, but they have pushed everything out of the core into plugin without doing their interface homework...
